Feb 1, 2005 - Cape Tribulation + the Daintree River and rainforest

Both of us having gone our separate ways for a few weeks, explored Cape Tribulation and the Daintree river and rainforest, but separately and therefore had slightly different experiences. CJ - I signed up for a 2 day tour when I got back from my liveaboard trip. The tour bus drove you up to Cape Tribulation stopping off at a few places on the way including a wildlife sanctuary where I had a cuddle with a very cute Joey, saw the longest python snake in captivity in Australia which is over 5m long, and also saw some baby Squirrel Gliders...

Dec 3, 2004 - Australia - Cairns - Diving The Great Barrier Reef

I hope you all enjoy the photos as in Bill Brysons world I risked life & limb to get them for you! Not only learning to dive I had to tackle marine stingers otherwise known as box jelly fish. It is the height of season in Queensland for these jellyfish & these little bubbles of woe are not to be trifled with. If you get stung be god you will know about it - apparently the pain is the worst ever! If you escape these little fellows, which I saw quite a few you may not be so lucky if the microscopic jellyfish gets you! You have approx. 20...
