Oct 6, 2012 - Buderim....honey, we're home.
The final run to home was in fabulous weather, the Gods had turned it on for us big time. Even the Bruce improved a tad and by the time we entered the Sunshine Coast outer limits it had become brilliant. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Another sad moment soon arrived when we made a stop at Gympie. This was our last Maccas coffee and apple pie for the trip....a true tragedy. Finally home and dismantling the luggage from the bikes when our Red Centre chaperones, John and Gayle, appeared …. bearing gifts of food and wine. We all settled down to...Jump to full entry
Aug 31, 2011 - Buderim (3 nites)
Wednesday, 31 August - Buderim with Don & Di After an amazing breaky of pancakes, berries and cream...we travelled back through the forrest and the undulating hills to Don & Di's place in Buderim. As Don was working we happily chatted away the avo talking to Di about all our endeavours...funny the things you actually recall. Great to see Don & Di again!!!! And walk along Maroochydore Beach at sunset is always a great way to end the day... Aug 9, 2010 - SUNSHINE COAST
Monday, 9th August 2010. We left Bundaberg Saturday morning on the way to the Sunshine Coast. 250kms of good road (Bruce highway and Motorway) with a fair bit of traffic and we were travelled a little bit faster than a grandfather wanted to drive in order to keep up with the masses. We had tried to book accommodation ahead at somewhere in Hervey Bay but after several attempts in vain we realised that we would have to go on to the Sunshine Coast. Finally found a vacancy at the Big 4 park at Forest Glen near Buderim. We arrived...Jump to full entry
