Day 50 Monday 14th April at Urunga Today has dawned cloudy , overcast, with misty rain, and at one stage late in the morning there was a good rainfall for about a half hour. The end result was a day of reading and sewing. There was a substantial patch of blue sky revealed but within an hour the clouds had retained their dominance of the sky. This will probably be the LAST BLOG POSTING. Day 48. Saturday 12th April. at Urunga Here's today's high energy, event packed list of activities ........ - Jan did some writing while Ron read till morning tea - we put up the annex - (great confidence in continuing sun for the next 4 days) lunch - -- then more reading till afternoon tea time - walked to UCA church to check time for tomorrows service - 8:30 - bit early but we'll cope - walk to end of 1km boardwalk that is beside the river all the way to the ocean at the mouth of the Bellinger River

Apr 11, 2014 - Forster to Urunga

Day 47 Friday 11th April Forster to Urunga We spoke too soon - the rain started during the night and it was still raining in the morning. But lucky for us, it paused raining every so often which allowed me to get all the pack up and car-van connection done. It rained most of the way up to Port Macquarie where we had morning tea. Then it was dry through to Nambucca Heads where we had lunch. Such a change to sit in the sunshine with no wind having our lunch. Jan 19, 2013 - We are off..Days 1-3..UPDATE NOTES

Hi all, Well we are off and rolling on our next exploration of the huge land called Australia. This trip to Tasmania which will involve an overnight ferry run with the car and van down below. We anticipate to do about 10,000 kms and we will be away for about 3 months. We are looking forward to the trip and bringing you our notes and photos. Touring Tasmania

Dec 8, 2010 - Bellingen

A beautiful, small town on the Bellinger river, called BellingeN because of some person hundreds of years ago's spelling msitake. Got picked up from the greyhound stop by a rather creepy driver who looked extremely like a serial killer/paedophile/both, but ended up being pretty harmless during our stay. The hostel itself was stunning, an old wooden house with massive terraces overlooking the river and beyond, right behind the cute main (only) street in Bellingen. In the dusk from the terrace you could see masses of swarms of bats flying...
