Alice Springs is hot and sticky and dirty and to be honest not really that nice!!
Despite this it is a must see and as we flew in the landscape surrounding Alice looks fab from the plane.
The hostel we stayed in Annies place was cool with a funky bar and cheap really good food every night. Time was spent between swatting flies and sun bathing in 40degrees around the pool while getting ready for our tour of the Red Centre over the following 3 days. Our bedroom had no air con and our room mates were really lovely initially we met a great couple from Leeds -Fleur you would have been proud of the accent and of course their football team . On the last night we finally spoke to the German couple who seemed nice but after the male spent around an hour on a regimented moisturising routine while standing in speedo type pants next to me while we were trying to watch tv we started to change our minds. It took the expression not knowing where to look to another level.
As we had to get up around 4.45am to be ready for our tour departure the next day no partying was done while in Alice, however we did enjoy our hostel bar and would reccomend it to fellow peeps for tour organising and cheapness.
