Marc & Lisy's little adventure travel blog

Ko Samui is a beautiful tropical island located in the warm clear waters of the Gulf of Thailand. It has white sand beaches, calm turquoise water, rolling green hills and palm trees swaying in the breeze. Sounds very photogenic-but we let everyone down in terms of photos for this beautiful island. Since Lisy and I were spending most of our time on the beach and in the water we didn't carry our camera with us. We thought we would just take a bunch of pictures on our last day, and post those on our website. But the weather didn't cooperate. After being bright and sunny all week, it is absolutely pouring rain today, so we have no pictures!

You'll just have to take our word for it. Ko Samui is beautiful, it has lots of resorts, activities, and nightlife. The only bad thing here (for us) is that it is a bit of a tourist trap. Many Europeans vacation here and prices are several times higher than anywhere else in Thailand. Even the fake Rolexes are expensive! It also doesn't have the real character of Thailand, except for the prostitution that seems to lure hordes of middle-aged white guys to Thailand. But we had fun in the sun, and it was a nice way to spend our last full week in Asia.
