Travelers on an Adventure by (Tom & Deb) travel blog

We hope all are doing well, and we send extra prayers to those affected by the virus and the destruction caused by the storms / tornado's over the last few days. 1 year ago, almost to the day, we were in Brandon MS at Goshen Springs Campground, and had our first encounter with tornado's, one of which, an EF-2, touched down only 8 miles away. It was truly a frightening experience.

Well, this morning, we had severe storms race through our area. An EF-1 touched down about 40 miles south, and an EF-0 about 10 miles south of us. The weather buoy at Murrells Inlet registered gusts up to 114 mph.!! and that is about 8 miles away .... Winds here at the condo were astonishing for 15 minutes or so, and then, thankfully, died down. No damage to any of our buildings and the motor home was also unscathed. ....mmm if I think those winds were astonishing ... what do I call winds from an EF-4!!??

As we see news coverage of other towns from TX to NC, we were once again are truly blessed to be healthy and and have our homes (condo & RV) in one piece.

Take care, stay healthy!
