Travelers on an Adventure by (Tom & Deb) travel blog

We arrived at Fiesta Key FL in the afternoon. Weather once again was beautiful!

Sites here (as in most all places in the Keys) are tight. But with a little maneuvering, we got backed into our site.

Mike & Barb (friends from Michigan) are staying just up the road at John Pennekamp State Park. (Located on Key Largo) We met them for dinner at Morada Bay, a nice little restaurant with dining right on the bay. The weather and food were great, and we made some plans for the next couple of days.

Wednesday we joined them on a glass bottom boat tour of the coral reef that is just outside the state park. The weather was perfect, and the ocean didn’t hardly have a wave, it was nearly smooth! There were about a hundred passengers on the boat. The crew was wonderful, and they also did a great job narrating / explaining things during our almost 3 hour trip. After the trip, we had some time to check out Mike & Barb’s site in the campground, then we crossed Rt 1, and had dinner at the Lazy Lobster. Another great meal!

On Thursday, Barb & Mike came to the campground we were staying in for a visit, some cold drinks and a bbq dinner. We also walked over to the Lobster Crawl restaurant (right in our park) for happy hour. We had a wonderful visit, and another beautiful sunset.

But just like that, our stay here went by quicker than quick!
