Hobe Sound FL, update
Jan 22, 2020
|During this past week, yep another one has gone by, we have been busy.
Elaine and Tony came to the park to enjoy an evening chicken bbq with us and later in the week, they treated us to a superb Italian home cooked meal at their place in Juno Beach. It has been great to spend time and visit with them, and we have a couple more outings planned for the up coming week.
They weather has been pretty nice. Perhaps a bit windy at times, but last night/this morning, temps dropped 25 degrees or so. That coupled with the wind, had this mornings wind chill at a “Florida frigid” 30 degrees. (...above zero) Having lived in VT most of my life, it is kinda hard saying that was cold, but certainly the Temp difference from one day to the next got our attention.
We have checked out a couple of nearby beach’s. (Coral Cove, Jupiter, and Dubois Park) With the winds, the waves were up and we even got to see some kids surfing. Bentley was able to enjoy some time on leash at Jupiter beach.
Otherwise Jonathan Dickinson State Park has an amazing amount of outdoor recreation activities available. Plenty of space to walk, some nice easy bike paths, mountain biking (see clubscrub.org), horseback riding, and canoe/kayak rentals with access to to Loxahatchee River.
Bentley has really seemed to enjoy the walks through the scrub areas, and also meeting all kinds of folks biking / mountain biking.
But the biggest news has come from VT. Our newest granddaughter was born on the 19th. Mom and baby are doing fine. We will make a trip to VT in mid February for a visit with her and family. .... I bet we will really notice a temperature difference when we arrive in Burlington!! LOL!
We will look forward to enjoying another week here before we head a bit further south.
Take care, stay healthy.
