2019 Travels - RETIRED! travel blog

We departed Dixon Lake Camground in Escondido, CA bound for Yellowstone National Park. We will allow about two weeks to get to Gardiner, MT, the gateway to the north entrance of Yellowstone NP, where we will link up with Randy and Marla.

Our first stop was an overnighter at Marine Corps Logistics base, Barstow, CA. This small base located along I-40 was hot...117 degrees...when we arrived. It took the trailer several hours to cool down to a comfortable level. The terrain in this area is parched. We had a full hookup site. We took advantage of free laundry machines and made a Walmart run. Sorry, no pictures.
