Black Verrauxs Eagle enjoying the rain!

Vervet Monkey

Our first elephant sighting this decade.....there will be more to come!

Today we travelled from Port Elizabeth to Addo National Park via Colchester Southern Gate.

Addo is a small and charming farming town situated in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, just outside of the Addo Elephant National Park. This area is not only known for its national park and it is also well known for its citrus growing. The majority of citus fruits grown here are for export.

Our accommodation is a citrus farm in the Addo valley and at the time of writing this on the 7th of Jan at 7.40pm its pissing down!! ....and I mean big style raining!! The locals are loving it...us..not so much!!!

Driving through the park en route to our accommodation we came across a Secretary bird, lions, elephant and birds of prey.
