Darrel and Diane.

We are on Whidbey Island at our friends Darrel and Diane's. Their place is out in the country and surrounded by trees. The water is less than a 1/4 of a mile away. The ferry to Port Townsend is only three miles.

We have done some sight seeing and visiting while we are here. We had never been to Whidbey Island as Darrel and Diane used to live on Bainbridge Island. They now have a 5 acre wooded lot and beautiful home here, which they are building a 3 vehicle garage. They poured the walks on our 2nd day here.

We visited the area where the first settlers (The Ebey's) farm the island. We also drove to the village of Langley, which is full of newly refurbished old shops and restaurants. They also have a old theater that we went and seen Rocket Man in. We also spent some time playing cards and walking to the back of Darrel and Diane's property and fed the neighbors goats and mule. You will also notice in the pictures, that there are a lot of deer. They walk up to the door of the house looking for apples. Darrel buys them by the bag.

It was all a lot of fun remembering old survey stories and hanging out.
