Packed up my car and head off to Death Valley driving up highway 95 to Beatty then coming into Death Valley from the north end. A stop first in the ghost town of Rhyolite built in 1905 and by 1920 most people had left the town. Then on to Death Valley lots of wild flowers blooming along the road until the top of Daylight Pass then it got very hot and dry. Checked out Stovepipe Wells and the Devils cornfield than a walk around the Sand Dunes. A stop at the Furnace Creek visitor center before heading out of the park toward Death Valley Junction. A couple stop along the way climbing to the top of Zabriskie point for a great view of the area, and a drive through Twenty Mule Team Canyon. Out of the park to my hotel for the night at the Pahrump Nugget Hotel and Casino. A nice dinner of prime rib and a couple cheap brews $1.00 each LOL
