Started my day by stopping at the Ace of Clubs House Museum. I knew it was closed on Mondays but thought I would be able to get a good look at the outside. As you can see from the photo there are gates at the front and brick walls all around. Disappointing.

This house is interesting because it has 22 sides and is shaped like a club from a deck of cards. It was built in 1885 for $10,000 - money said to be won in a poker game with an ace of clubs. Three families lived in the house. The last owner was there from 1942 to 1985. The woman deeded the house to the Texarkana Museum System in her will. The house was refurbished in 1987 but is now desperately in need in repair. Hotel Occupancy Tax is helping .

The Arkansas Texas state line runs through the Texarkana Post Office and Courthouse - the only federal building situated in 2 states. It was built in 1932 using pink granite from Texas and limestone from Arkansas. The post office has 2 different zip codes!
