Windshield wipers were working for most of the 335 mile drive today. Once I hit Johnson City the rain stopped and I had a chance to photograph the beautiful and bountiful wildflowers that line every highway and side road in Texas at this time of year. The further east I got the more abundant the yellow flowers were. Bluebonnets are almost done so there were less patches of blue.
So good to be able to spend time with Gwen. We've got our work cut out for us this visit since I am in the market for another car - either lease or buy. We are in for some major thunderstorm activity tonight and tomorrow so the quest for a a new vehicle will have to be on Thursday.
Gwen grilled salmon for dinner ( delicious!) and now with a full stomach I must admit I'm bushed. Let's hope the storm won't be as bad as predicted.
