Irene and "Ducky BumbleBee" with Digby and Dug

Paxton, Cynthea and Sonya at Ambury Farm

Not the most enjoyable sleep last night, both of us had the incident at the restaurant playing on our minds. And it was quite muggy too…

Sonja Vennik came to see us, and we went to Onehunga Mall for a quick shop at Kathmandu for padlocks (Cynthea changed back packs and left locks on the old pack!). We had a quick lunch and went to Ambury regional park nearby, where her 2 y.o. grandson , Paxton, could run around after chooks, turkeys, sheep. Great to catch up, Tony and Sonja have known each other since they were babies, a loong, looong time ago that was! Later in the afternoon Tony’s cousin Donna came with wine and cheese, and we had a great afternoon catching up on the last 45 years (it had been that long since they had seen each other!)

The hostel is full again tonight, a nice crowd in again, but only two bathrooms between 24 of us. And the toilets are not separate rooms either.

We are aiming for an early night… bus leaves the motel at 4.20am (urk), for our flight to Sydney.
