Today we woke from a great sleep to a beautifully warm and sunny day :)
We got delicious coffees from the parking lot kiosk and hit the road...first stop Bandon, Oregon where we checked out the old town and grabbed lunch at the brewery. Right next door was a gallery that shows the works from a group called Washed Ashore (www.washedashore.org) that makes art from garbage that has washed ashore on the Oregon Coast. Some very cool stuff and a clever and creative way to facilitate awareness on the subject.
We then headed south and enjoyed a breathtaking drive along hwy 101, weaving between the massive redwoods and the beautiful Oregon & California coast lines. We arrived in Eureka a little later than we'd hoped, so it was a take out Chinese kinda night, but our place is lovely and we are looking forward to a good sleep. Tomorrow we head to Santa Rosa, see you there!
