We've had so many comments about the boat but this was the best!!!
Then we've had - "eee, that's a bigun innit"
"By 'eck, that's a beauty"
Then the best of all was a lady asking me as we were facing upwards into the locks and rising - "are you going up or down?"!!!!!!!!!
These fish were lazily sunbathing around the boat yesterday.
We hadn't been moving for half an hour this morning before we had to stop and unblock the filters and pull plastic from the prop. It's the worst stretch of canal we've come across - more shopping trolleys than woolworths, enough plastic bags to supply woolies for a week, enough balls (of all sizes) to staart a toy shop, bicycles, scooters, traffic cones, and the list goes on.
We stopped at the supermarket that has moorings and topped up as we are about to go into the longest stretch without shops.
We're now moored at the bottom of Barrowford Locks, ready to climb some more tomorrow - 7 locks to go.
