June 12

It was a cruising day. Naps, trivia, playing cards, and eating, always the eating.

There is a trivia at 5 we play and are asked 20 questions. It was so ridiculously hard the winner had 8 right and we only had 5. The geography of the world has changed so much since high school, next cruise I am packing a world map. I met a woman from Azerbaijan. She spoke perfect English. Before you look it up on a map its near Turkey.

The World Cup is in Russia this year. Yes, we will be in Moscow for the opening ceremony and in St Petersburg for the first game. The ship personnel has already started to adjust what we can expect. No we don’t have tickets because “We will be on a Train and then The Bus”.

There was a fish on the menu at dinner I had never hear of, so the waiter showed us a picture. Not a good endorsement to order it UGLY...........but I did anyway. Not as pink as salmon, not as white as grouper. A thick filet covered in a horseradish crust. It was good but the purée of celery root smeared on my plate was unnecessary.

Tomorrow Tallin, Estonia.
