Bill and Mary Ann's truck camper retirement travel blog

Another great day driving the back roads of WV. We headed back up 219 and had a roadwork stop where we talked to a good ole boy who told us about morels and ramps. We saw patches of ramps but didn't stop to get any and never saw morels. Found the Cedar Creek cg after an interesting cutoff of I79. Took us about an hour to get there on very curvy roads through lots of back country landscape. Got to the cg and maybe were 1 of 3 campers in there. We had a great site up a creek that had the stone trough trail going up it. We had bought ramps at a little produce store on the way in and cooked them up w mushrooms and rice. Great as I had never eaten ramps.
