|16th February. Arrived in Fairy Meadow ( no fairies to report thank goodness ) and found the caravan park very nice ( Woolongong Surf and Leisure Resort, and alongside the beach ( except there is a sand hill in the road. Not fishing anymore in NSW as you have to buy a license, and Victoria offers exemption if your a senior, so look out fish in Vic.
17th February. Caught up with Jason Christie and partner Marissa for a nice afternoon around the van, and a great steak meal, even if I do say so myself ( chief cook on this one ) Jason drove down from Sydney, but Marissa definately had to drive back.thanks guys.
18th February. We caught the Free City Link Bus and explored the region, courtesy of the local council. It's really a lovely place down here, considering we would not have stayed here if Shellharbour wasn't booked out. Northern Beach and Flagstaff Hill were really nice....in fact awesome ! Great sightseeing and great weather, we couldn't have asked for more. Had lunch on the beach and enjoyed the water views.
19th February. Left the Gong as the locals call it, and visited Goulburn and enjoyed a morning coffee, and the best sausage roll ever made, before heading to the Capital of Australia, and those dastardly politicians ( like the description used to describe these people, without offering profanities and adjectives ) Went to the Tourist Information Centre, which was a great idea, as they gave us all the tourist info, and based on where we decided to visit, they found us a nice ( Drive Through ) Caravan Park in close proximity to where we want to visit.
Went to The Australian Dinosaur Museum, which was great, and even scared the pants off two kids in prams being wheeled through by their mother ( cried and cried )
Next we went to Cockington Green Gardens........again fantastic, and an exhibit of miniature buildings and figures in various scenes in a garden setting ( sort of like Gulliver and the Lilliputians ) Photo's don't do this place justice.
