Today Landsa will arrive, so we can get all our crowd together again. It is going to be very exciting for us all.
I went back to Peter's place to finish packing up the last of my stuff, and spend some time with Hugo and take him for a walk. Shane and I ran into a blank wall with the pet shop, so I am going to leave Hugo here, with a heap of food and water, and come back to walk him daily.
When I was outside walking with Hugo, I had a message from Rony, wanting to know if I wanted him to pick my up. This was perfect, as it means I have a lift with my suitcase now@@ So, I waited down on the street, after sending him my location on Wechat, until he arrived. I did not even know that he had a car now, and sure enough he pulled up in an SUV. Not fancy, a cheaper Chinese brand, but still a massive upward move for him and his family!
We went upstairs and Rony carried my suitcase downstairs, and headed in to the city to find parking near the bus station. We were very lucky, after getting through pretty hectic traffic, to get a parking bay right over from the bus station. Rony was not too sure whether we should have been parked there or not, but we stayed with the car, while we waited, ready to move on, if needed!!
Landsa's bus was very late, as they got stuck in a traffic jam. So we were able to have a long chat, even though we were both really hanging out for lunch. Eventually they arrived, and Rony went to meet them. Emma, the little socialite, did not want to call Rony uncle, she preferred big brother!!
Anyway, we headed to Bai Pin Tang for lunch, and that was lovely. Seeing the friendship between these two, and being part of the joy of being together was lovely. Over a long lunch, we did a lot of catching up, then it was time to get Landsa to the hotel, and to give Emma a sleep, before heading out again.
We discovered that behind the hotel was a massage centre, and we decided we might indulge ourselves after the baby girl had a sleep. Rony brought me home with my suitcase, and then headed off again. I got unpacked, and then settled back to relax, before I had a message from Landsa to meet her for a massage.
Little Emma had a big sleep, and by the time she woke up, we only had time to head to the restaurant for dinner. I had asked Cheer to book us a room at the Lotus Restaurant. What a pleasure to be in the company of all these guys.
Someone had a photo of Cheer, Rony, John, myself and Andy, taken ten years ago, so we re-enacted the pose, minus John. Hard to believe that so much time has gone by since those days.
So many great memories shared, and it is so nice to see that all the families get on well with each other. Their lives have all changed so much since those days of old!!
