Landsa and little Emma head back to Guangzhou today. So I got a bus into town, to meet up with them at Paifang Square, and then go for lunch.

Lots of lovely floral displays at the moment around the Paifang Gate. Not quite sure why, surely not Xmas, not here, but they're here for some reason, I guess.

We met up with Landsa, and also Rony, his Mum and his two kids. The kids were having a great time, really good to see them all connecting, just like their Mums and Dads did so many years ago!! Cheer also turned up for lunch. Xiao Hong and Mei Xuan have dancing on this afternoon, so we did not see them today.

We went in to Bai Pin Tang for lunch, and managed to get a room, with a door that closes. Rony really needs that for his little boy. A really active little guy, and a superb escape artist.

Melrose also joined us for lunch, so that was nice too. She does not get to see these guys very often any more either. We had nearly finished lunch, when Andy called in with gifts for us all. Lily is a great gift buyer, she seems to know just what we would like!!

After lunch, Landsa headed off to the bus, and Rony drove Cheer and I to the west gate of the sports stadium. There is a massage place over the road, and we planned a foot massage. But they were busy, so we went over the road, to the stadium entrance. Cheer had offered to lend me his folding bike, so he wanted me to see if I could ride it, before leaving it with me. I did a couple of laps up the pavement to the corner, and back. Only got the wobbles up one time, and ended up skinning my fingers on a tree, but nothing serious. I liked the bike, but decided not to take him up on his offer, as it is quite heavy, and I would have trouble getting it up the steps to the apartment, and in all honesty I am not sure how much I would actually use it.

When it was time, we went back over to the massage shop, where Rony joined us. He had left his Mum and kids at home, for them all to sleep, and came back for a relaxing massage. It was very nice, and relaxing. The guy who did my feet told Rony that he knew me, because he used to work in the place in Kangle Beilu, and remembered seeing me there!

Cheer had said there was a supermarket nearby, so when we finished, Rony and I went up there. I needed to buy coffee, so it was an easier choice than having to go into town. He rode his motorbike to the supermarket, and then waited for me, and drove me home to the medical college!

My first time on the back of a motorbike in a long time, and I have admit I was very nervous, although Rony is a very good driver, and I have no need for concern, except for the amount of crazy traffic.

Anyway, needless to say, he got me safely back to the medical college, where Andy and family were waiting to say goodbye to me. I got instructions from Lily about caring for my pot of succulents, which is very good!! Let's hope I can keep them alive!! I did tell him that I would be unable to take them back to Australia with me, and asked if I could pass the beautiful gift on to Melrose when I leave China. He was happy with that, and was aware that I could not take them back with me.
