We left our boat, MS Bizet, this morning. Very sad. The whole crew was out to say and wave good bye to us, as we drove off in our buses.

The sun is out again. The weather is beautiful. Just a tinge of cool air; beautiful fall air.

We drove through the wonderful French countryside again, on our way to Caen. We stopped here for the morning as we visited the Memorial Peace Museum. It has displays of D-Day and the whole of World War II, including the battles in the Pacific against the Japanese.

The memorial is dedicated to the history of violence and intensive, outstanding conflict in the 20th Century and particularly World War II. The museum was officially opened on June 6, 1988 (the 44th anniversary of D-Day) by the French President François Mitterrand. The original building deals primarily with World War II, looking at the causes and course of the conflict.

The idea is, if we understand war, peace will be maintained. At least that's the hope.
