2017 Trip East to see the Colors travel blog

Rio the Cat and is travelling catnip

The reason we added this location to our itinerary was to take a Santa Fe friend to dinner. Josh is a first year seminarian at Trinity Lutheran Seminary. I have known Josh since his birth, about 30 yrs. He was one of the kids who stayed in church after his confirmation. Since he is on a new journey and we were going to be close by we did want to treat a poor student to dinner. We did have a great meal at a downtown Italian restaurant that he wanted to try. The food was good but the visit with Josh was THE BEST.

While in Columbus we took a hike through German Village. They must have a heck of an HOA because everything is neat and tidy. A lovely park was a wonderful setting for lunch. Our other walk was around the state capitol area. We visited a lovely church right across the street and wandered through a hotel that intrigued us. The RV park was in the country and very comfortable for our purposes.

We took no photos except one that I took of Rio and the catnip that travels with us for his enjoyment. Off to Daniel Boone National Forest southeast of Lexington, KY
