Blyde River Canyon

Last breakfast at Katekani

ByeBye Katekani, back to Johannesburg via Blyde River Canyon.

This canyon is the 3rd biggest in the world, after Grand Canyon and some other one in Namibia. Blyde River canyon is evergreen all year round.... quite spectacular with a river at the bottom. Back in the minivan for the almost 500km journey to Johannesburg. Goes quite quickly though when travelling at 120kph (and towing a luggage trailer). They are very good drivers here, we could certainly learn from them. Cars overtake at 150kph and nobody blinks.

Stopped for lunch in Dullstrom, a beautiful town and certainly not dull. The whole main street was full of people lunching, drinking, shopping. It looks like all the farmers come into town to swell the population.

Arrived back at the Safari Club Lodge for an overnighter before flying to Victoria Falls tomorrow.
