|Phil had a restless nights sleep so we don't rush this morning as our bus leaves at 11 am. We leave the lodge at 10.30 by taxi to the bus station and our bus leaves on time at 11 am. The 3 hour trip passes quickly and Phil sleeps for a couple of hours to catch up from last night. We arrive in the town of Punta Arenas which is located on the Strait of Magellan, which connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. It's often used as base for excursions to the surrounding wilderness and Antarctica. Quite a few cruise liners call here and there are some large penguin colonies nearby. We cant do any sightseeing because Phil is still not too mobile. We check in at the Hotel and then have a late lunch at a nearby restaurant. We both have salmon, mine crusted and Phil's in a sauce. Both delicious! Phil knocks back two glasses of red. Maybe this will fix his back. Back to our warm room for a good nights sleep.
