Last walk to Shelly Beach

Weather front moving up the coast

Sunday 27 August 2017

A quiet leisurely Sunday for our last day at Bateau Bay. Some house keeping to be done ready to move on tomorrow. It's hard to believe that we have been here for eight nights. It has gone very fast.

Enjoyed the morning sitting in the sun outside the vans, drinking coffee while the girls did some knitting and crochet.

Caught up on some emails after lunch and the Benn's went off to pick up some supplies.

After another chat and a cup of tea, we headed off for a walk to Shelly Beach one last time!

We could see the weather change heading towards us, and we returned just in time to tidy up outside the vans and secure things before the clouds rolled over. Had a little rain and wind, but it headed out to sea just south of us.

All tucked up inside and hear just a few spots of rain every now and then.

Has been a very enjoyable stay here and although the time has flown, we have achieved a lot and been able to catch up with friends and relatives.

We were hoping to see Maurie & Helen Cropper, but wasn't to be. When Don spoke with Maurie, he thought they may have some spare time this afternoon and he would let us know. We didn't hear back from him and as we did not want to pester them, we will leave that until another time.
