Blue Lagoon Beach, Bateau Bay

Our "homes" from the beach

The Entrance

The Entrance Surf Beach

Tuesday 22 August 2017

A beautiful day here at Bateau Bay. Quite a mild night and a bright sunny cloudless day. The surf is still quite rough, and the waves remind us how close we are to the beach.

After having the gate access to the beach near us roped off just after we got here, the workmen arrived and we now have a "locked" gate access. Luckily the amenities key fits the lock!

An easy morning in the park, housework to do and decided to bring washing up to date. A nice clean laundry with new looking washing machines and one dryer, all for free! Will make the most of this "bonus" and be up to date with washing here before moving on.

Spent the morning together before Mavis headed off for a haircut at the local hairdresser.

Time for some reading after lunch and set off mid afternoon for a drive north.

Headed north as far as Lake Munmorah travelling past The Entrance, Magenta, Norahville and Budgewoi. A nice coastal drive with lots of new housing developments and old seaside cottages.

Came back to The Entrance and enjoyed a nice walk along Tuggerah Lake entrance to the ocean beach. A very pretty spot.

A quick stop at the supermarket for some steak so the men could BBQ dinner tonight, and headed back to "home."

The day cooled down quickly, so retreated inside for dinner.
