Up and in line for the 9:30am ferry! Howz that for all you folks that don’t think I can rise and shine! Well a 9:30am start IS rising and shining……….to me! While waiting to see if we would make the ferry, sans reservation, two different fellows wandered over for a chat, one from Nanaimo and the other from Saanich. The Nanaimo guy is married to a PEI’er and they spend every summer on the island – talk about a long distance cabin location!
The ticket agent had said “I can’t guarantee you will make the ferry!” – the same line the lady at the ticket office in Nova Scotia fed us when we came to PEI. Well………..somehow they managed to squeeze us on – as a matter of fact we were at the very front of the ferry and the first to off load! Take that Ticket Agent Man!!!
Off the ferry we headed back towards Antigonish for what would be our third stop on our holiday at this pretty town. Having gone up (and down) Main Street several times in our previous 2 visits we knew the street (and some of the locals!) well. From there we chose to go along the coast up to Cape George where we stopped to admire the vistas from the lighthouse on the point. We arrived in Guysborough early enough to get some local tips at the Visitors Centre and headed off to our beachfront campsite located a couple of km from Canso
