Here we are,in the stormy Kuala Lumpur. Arrived by ferry 2 days ago. The trip was one of the worst bus trip. Supposedly it was a sleeping bus. Well,I couldn't sleep for that 8 hours we travelled during the night. I was absolutely dead by the time we got here and we actually got off the wrong side of the city. The bus stopped right where we are staying but as we didn't know that that time, we got off the last stop which was about an hour away from where we are now. We wanted to take a taxi but even the taxi drivers said it's too far,so they took us to a train station and we paid 10ringgit and off we went. The train took about an hour and it was more like an overground than a train. We had to walk an other probably 10 minutes until we got to the hostel. The room itself is very small, literally only one bunk bed, nothing else in it. The hostel is ok,toilet and shower the same as everywhere else, not exactly clean but it does the job. ☺️ As we couldn't check in yet -I almost pulled my hair out,I was so tired- we went for a little exploring. Found out that the Chinese market and China town itself is just 3mins away from us. We literally just walked the whole day yesterday. Kuala Lumpur is like a miniature Dubai, especially by the towers with the shopping mall and the coloured fountain, etc. We went to the Petronas twin towers and wanted to go up but tickets have been sold for the day so we bought tickets for today. As we were about to head out, I saw something. A cinema... I thought why wouldn't we check? And guess what? Everything was in English. So we watched a movie, Baby Boss (Dreamwork animation). It was actually a funny movie 𯘁. Tickets weren't cheap, 21 ringgit/person but as there was not much else we could do,why not?

Today we wanted to go to an elephant sanctuary but we woke up too late so instead, spent the whole day discovering the other part of the city, walked in the Perdana Botanical Gardens where we saw a big mosque, there is a planetarium, the world's biggest free-flight walk-in aviary. We were thinking of going into the bird world but ticket cost 67 Ringgitpetson which is hilariously expensive for our budget, when our daily limit is 364 Ringgit (otherwise is actually cheap). As we bought the ticket, we went up to the tower and it was really nice. Today was a massive storm here, thunder and lighting, pouring rain. It got a bit cold as the wind and rain and all sort.. we had to take a taxi to the tower as the rain caught us on the way, got us absolutely soaking wet but it calmed down by the time we finished the tower so we walked back. We decided to stay one more night so we go to the elephant sanctuary tomorrow. We then fly to Sumatra, Indonesia the day after.☺️
