Lunch and brew break at EddyLines in Richmond

Relaxing at the hostel

The weather forecast was for a cool and cloudy day but it turned out to be beautiful, warm and sunny! We cycled to the base of the highest hill in Nelson, locked the bikes and climbed to the lookout. Predicted time to reach the top was 1 hr, but these old folks did it in 35 minutes!

We then cycled about 15 km to the next town and stopped at a craft brewery for a late lunch and BEER. The trail we were on is called the Great Taste Trail and we thought we'd go a bit further and maybe find some wine tasting, but turned around after about 8 or 10 more km without finding anything tasty! Then of course we had quite the long ride back to the hostel.
