Generally, a very quiet rest day today. Ian has been glued to the TV watching the Bathurst 12 hour race most of the day and I have finished reading another book. We have taken the dogs for a couple of walks - once down the road to buy a paper and the next time just around the block to stretch their legs before we put them in their crates while we went out just before 5pm for another go at the twilight cruise on the lake.

The weather today had been a bit drizzly at times, so we had worried the cruise would be cancelled. However, the rain held off and although it was a dullish evening, the lake was almost flat calm. Before we even got on the boat we were entertained by a lone seal that obviously spends a lot of time at the wharf, by the fish cleaning tables, waiting for any off cuts. The cruise went for a couple of hours and we puttered around the edge of the lake-much of which is National Park. We saw a couple of sea eagles who very cunningly waited until the boat left before coming down to get some fish the skipper had thrown overboard for them. There were heaps of fish jumping in the lake and we saw a couple more seals. In all, a very pleasant way to spend an evening.
