1 bus, 3 flights, 2 trains and a short walk later ... we are back in Kuala Lumpur almost 10 years later (see other blog from 2007).
As much as we don't like big cities ... we do like this one! The people are friendly, it is easy to get around, the food stalls literally over take your senses ... smells, sights, sounds and of course taste. The food here is awesome ... so many flavours!
The city has just over 2 million people which is a third of Malaysia's population ... but it doesn't feel crowded. Yes the market streets are busy and full of "hey mister, you wanna buy a watch?" ... but its all part of the experience.
We spent two days here (In the Chinatown district) ... a bit jet lagged after the 25 hour travel day to get here ... but still had time to do the tourist "hop on hop off bus" ... and of course sample many of the dishes at the food stalls.
A great city, but time to move on ... heading to the east coast island of Langkawi!
