We got to Ask Fork just fine but the RV parks were not very attractive so we went 30 miles further to the last civilization for 80 miles before Kingman. It was a KOA and nice big sites and the weather was good. Getting situated was painful. The woman who checked us in was new and she gave a spot that was supposed to have water, electric and sewer. We pulled in – no sewer. Back to the office and she insisted there was sewer so back to the site. Sewer was still MIA. She sent her husband to help us poor addled folks. He was addled too – no sewer. So a we moved to a new space but we had trouble getting the trailer situated because of the gravel sites – ended up putting the trailer tongue jack right on the ground and still have a pretty steep angle. All is good.
We did have a beautiful sunset. As the sunwas setting I looked at the clock and thought the clock had sprung a spring. Arizona does not change time so sunset was about 5:45. Another learning experience re travelling.
Oh – the trains started up again. The park was right next to the tracks so we got lots of the train experience but it did not disturb a good sleep.
We are off to Quartz Hill, CA and a visit with Tom’s youngest sister.
