Sister Bay, WI Door County is on a peninsula between Green Bay and Lake Michigan. It’s known for its long shoreline and many parks. It also has lots of shopping. In the 38 miles between Sturgeon Bay and the tip of the peninsula are 7 small towns just on our side of the peninsula with more on the other shore. There are mom-and-pop businesses and eclectic boutiques in each community’s shopping district with handmade, one-of-a-kind gifts made by local artisans as well as products made with locally sourced cheeses, cherries, apples, wines and beers. We were delighted to discover that most of the businesses are in converted houses complete with front porches. We poked into many of the stores and managed to cover only Sister Bay, Ephraim and Fish Creek – so much to look forward to! We also took the time for a round of miniature golf at a super nice course. Luck was on Jim’s side and he came out the winner.
