Port Elizabeth to Victoria Falls- We left Port Elizabeth really early in the morning and flew to Johannesburg, then on to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. We arrived in Victoria Falls in the afternoon, got to the hotel, and then set out for a cruise on a boat down the Zambezi River just upstream from Victoria Falls (we were glad we didn’t know until the next day just how close upstream of the Falls we were). On the boat we saw Elephants, Hippos, Crocodiles and a lot of birds. Mom ate roasted crocodile (unbeknownst to her) and we had an awesome time. The next day we walked around the Falls, which were spectacular, took lots of photos and then wandered into town in the afternoon. That was quite an experience! The marketplace selling local crafts was pretty intense – some high pressure sales! That evening we enjoyed Boma- a traditional dinner show with singing, dancing and great food (Noah and Dad ate roasted crocodile and impala).
