John and Janet 2016 Utah travel blog

Our trip home is relatively uneventful. The Annapolis bridge area is beautiful.

We cross Maryland and Delaware before getting back to New Jersey. This is our type of driving.

I said that our day was relatively uneventful. We cross the railroad tracks in Woodstown. The check engine light comes on. Great! We will deal with this at home.

Final Wrap:

This trip was a good one. I am calling it my unfinished business trip. We saw things we missed on our fall southwest trip.

Our trip west was not what I expected. It kept raining so we kept moving. I did get to visit Larned National Historic Site and Old Bent’s Fort National Historic Site.

We loved Canon City, Colorado. Our route across Southern Colorado and New Mexico was good. We survived our motorcycle ride in Alamosa, Colorado and our breakdown in Durango, Colorado.

We visited Mesa Verde, Arches and Canyonlands National Parks! We visited Colorado Monument instead of Dinosaur National Park. We revisited Wind Cave National Park and Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

John fished in Casper, Wyoming. We took a helicopter ride in Canon City, Colorado and another in Custer, South Dakota. We took a train ride in Canon City, Colorado and another in Durango, Colorado. We took a jet boat ride in Moab, Utah. We used the motorcycle often but especially in the Black Hills.

We always hate heading home but we found some places in Iowa that we would like to revisit. We always talk of where we want to go next as we head east!
