Year Five explore West Sabah travel blog

Dear Parents,

We have had an amazing first day! We arrived at Borneo Reef World around 9.30am. After a quick snack and drink we visited the aquarium. The children loved to see all the different fish and coral and particularly loved the clownfish. We spent the rest of the morning snorkeling which all the children were really good at. After a couple of hours we were all ready for lunch. The lunch consisted of noodles, rice, fish, chicken wings, spring rolls and chips. We ate lots and were soon full. The afternoon was spent snorkeling, visiting the aquarium and looking out for the fish. We then visited the fish educational platform where we saw and fed giant grouper and cobia.

Once at camp we unpacked and then played in the water and on the beach. Some of the children got creative and made some super sand sculptures! Currently we are enjoying our dinner and snacks. We are hoping to have a small camp fire later. The children have prepared stories to tell but currently it is raining, fingers crossed it doesn't last.

Hopefully we will get a good night sleep as we have a another busy day tomorrow.

Good night.
