The Olson's Retirement RV Adventures travel blog

Our campsite.

The first Virginia Parliment building.

Inside the House of Burgess.

Their Declaration of Rights sounded a lot like our Declaration of Independence.

Is that a big tree or what?

Under that tree.

A comparison photo.

Governor's home...One of the important people in town.

Rifle and Drum brigarde marching down main street.

One of the carriages for hire. They were booked until after 5:00.

We are again staying at a KOA (Kampgrounds of America). We chose the KOA's mostly for Ava's entertainment. They always have games and movies and good entertainment for the kids. Best thing here is that the temperature has dropped. We actually have windows open and feel great without the humidity.

We spent our first day here walking around Colonial Williamsburg. The history is there and well preserved, but has been commercially changed. Larry was here in the 60's and it was like stepping back in time. Not so much anymore. Somewhat like what we experienced at Cape Canaveral, set up for the tourist, and there were a lot of them.

We think Ava got bored with it, but took away a few things from it (we hope).
