|Day 59 Into Normanton and onto Karumba, while driving up the speedo on the old girl came up 333333kms. We started at 320096kms. Saw plenty of Brolga’s on the way up to the Gulf, and the Hawks were like crows feeding on the road kill. The Gulf has 1caravan park in town and 3 at Karumba Point and they were all chokers, the Point would be the better place to be. On the way back we stopped at a bridge and walked the old bridge that had water flowing over it. . Back into Normanton to fuel up and the lady came out to put the fuel in as the bowser was old fashion. Can’t remember when we had fuel service like this. Down to Bang Bang rest area this trip was very boring s the country side didn’t change very often but had millions of white ant mounds. The outback Queenslanders or travellers have a fascination with dressing up the mounds with t shirts, bras and dresses The camp area is massive and it now has 12 caravans, 1 car and us and there is room for many more.
