The Olson's Retirement RV Adventures travel blog

Swimming pool and laundry across the street from our site.

Our campsite.

Fayetteville, NC is a halfway between Charleston and Williamsburg. A perfect overnight stop. The Fayetteville RV Resort is a very nice place. It has many military people for Ft. Bragg staying here. It is very spacious, clean and very well taken care of.

We spent the afternoon doing laundry and relaxing in the pool.

We did have a little adventure on the way here. We kept hearing a thump every now and then. We stopped twice to check the tires and things, but nothing. A car pulled along side of us on the highway and honked and pointed at our front tire, then took off. We took the next exit and checked the tire again. Just happened to bump the front cowling and it swung out. With a little rope and tape we secured it and drove to our campground. With a cordless drill and a couple of self tapping screws to replace the missing ones, just like new.
