Reno

Beautiful fountains at Atlantis

Desert Rose RV Park in Fernley, Nevada

Today we drove into Reno as we were staying north of there. We parked near Atlantis Casino and walked downtown to the strip. We thought it was closer than it was and figure we walked about 8 miles total. The weather was nice, so it was a nice, even though long, walk. We went into a few of the casinos while there, and then stopped to get iced teas at McDonald's for the walk back. We got a couple of necessities at the dollar store and the grocery store, and then headed to our next stop. It was a bit more windy than usual, so it was good that we didn't have far to go. We are staying at the Desert Rose RV Park in Fenley. It is very clean and quiet here. The showers and bathrooms are the nicest we've ever seen at an RV Park. Wifi is good here for the most part. We were able to sit outside for quite some time as the weather was hot (74 but feels like 80, and humidity only 18%) but we were in the shade. It looked like rain and started to get windy just before dinner, but it doesn't look like it will rain after all, and the wind stopped. We paid 2.73 for gas in Reno and then saw it for 2.29 about 20 miles east of Reno. Oh well...
