Bob and Rita Washington Trip 2016 travel blog

Church in Williamsburg

Yesterday we traveled from South Carolina to North Carolina and made a 1 night stop at RVacation RV park to break up our trip. The park was very nice but the location is right off Hwy 95 so there was a lot of traffic noise; otherwise, was an uneventful night.

We left North Carolina this morning headed to Williamsburg, VA. We arrived about mid-afternoon, got settled in to American Heritage RV Park. This park is different from some of the other rv parks that we've stayed in that have been wooded and had lots of space. This park is more commercial I guess you could say and not a lot of space between each rv. It's still pretty but just different.

We drove in to Williamsburg to check out where everything is so we can make a plan for tomorrow. We will be here one more day and then head to DC. We walked down the Duke of Gloucester Street where the original colonial homes were available for tour. We didn't tour any today. There was an episcopal church open to the public. It was a beautiful church that had individual family pews. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson once attended that church.

We stopped at a bistro for dinner, then headed back to the rv park. The weather has turned chilly so time for the fireplace!!
