Left Holyhead earlyish for a drive down the Wales coast. Stopped at The Oakeley Arms for a morning tea break just befoe we hit the Snowdonia National Park. Again, would be stunning if it wasn't raining.
Stopped for lunch at Aberystwyth, a beachside university town. So quite vibrant, with trendy little pubs. Our host for the night explained that Aberystwyth was hit badly when Storm Imogen battered the seafront. Waves reached the second floor of the homes along the esplanade and the historic jetty was partially swept away.
Rolled up in Cardigan for the night. Nice country B&B with the possibility of great views
Our host put us onto this old pub just south of town. Called the White Hart it was built in the 1400's and has a colourful past. Was weird sitting there imagining the history of the place.
