Gooseneck State Park, Utah

Valley of the Gods, Utah

Drove from Torrey to Blanding. Very scenic drive, took Hwy 24 to 95 south. Drive past Lake Powell. Arrived at Blue Mountain Rv park in Blanding. Very well kept park. Good cell, satellite, 50 amp and water pressure. We had a site on top, the old area. Only thing I did not like was the spots were pull ins, side by side. So our neighbor was only a few feet away from our driver side. Weather was very cold and windy. Nights dropped down to 30 degrees.

Went to the Dinosaur museum. Nice, probably more so for kids.

Spent a day driving south through Bluff. In Bluff we went to the fort that the Mormon travelers used. Very interesting. We kept driving to Valley of the Gods and Gooseneck State Park. Long drive through Valley of the Gods, but very scenic. Gooseneck was scenic, but not a good photo spot. Bluff has a few restaurants, but not much else. Weather was pretty good, mid 60's. Drove back to Blanding and called it a day.

We drove north to Canyon Lands, Needles district one day. Long drive, but beautiful. Got to do a little Jeeping on the trail that over looks the Colorado River. We could not find a spot to get any good pictures fo the Needles. Saw some cool petroglyphs on the way, Newspaper wall.
