The Escapees hitched up their rigs this morning and headed out to the four points of the compass after another successful SKP ACRE. It was nice to renew acquaintances and meet some new people at this gathering of Escapees from as far away as Texas. We'll be making plans to attend the 2017 ACRE in Sevierville next April. The next big Escapee event is the National Escapade in Essex Junction, VT at the end of July. We are planning on making the trip north.

We made our way up I81 from Sevierville today and pulled off for the night in Max Meadows, VA at the Fort Chiswell RV Park. Along the way we were passed by a Prevost bus towing an Escalade. When we got to Fort Chiswell, the Prevost pulled in behind us. They must have stopped somewhere along the way for fuel or food. We stayed in this RV park for a few days in 2010 during our President, Patriots, and Caverns tour. Funny thing though, I don't remember the air being permeated by cow manure odor. We're surrounded by cow pastures with cows grazing so I guess it's not surprising. We'll only be here one night, I don't think Sue could stand any more.
