Singaporeans have a sense of humour.
The Supreme Court has a space ship on the roof of their building. It never fails to brighten my day to think about it suddenly taking off with all the judges onboard flying off to Betelgeuse, where I understand they have a distinct shortage of judges. Not many want to go - a wrong decision leads to consequences too grim to discuss.
I've seen boats which are floating hotels. And hotels with boats floating beside them. But the Marina Bay Sands is the only hotel I know where the boat is located on top of the hotel. It's a new concept to deal with ease of unloading guests. The architects are working on the next project - how does the boat leave harbour? Perhaps a ramp is the next architectural project?
