|It is always a great day when you wake up for one, but to look out the window and see the sun shining. Here we are parked in the Jetty Park and Campground located in the Port Canaveral complex. This is interesting because the Port owns and operates all the businesses here including the campground. They also have a picnic area on the channel a person can get a day pass to picnic, fish, or watch the ships go in and out the channel.
Our day started out with us going to the park, which is right behind where we are parked. We walked down to the channel to watch the boats going in and out and up to the fishing pier. Along the way we were watching the Pelicans watching for fish which they did get some and talking to the fishermen along the pier. The weather is just great, warm but with a breeze blowing. If the breeze wasn’t blowing it would be very hot, the Florida sun can cook you in a matter of minutes. Sure is pretty here. Tonight the girls will fly in to Orlando airport so Chip will drive over and get them.
Chip and Candy left to visit Walmart but ending up returning with a 3 wheel scooter/car and Chip had a scooter. Away we went with for a tour of the port in our scooters. It was fun until it started to rain so it was time to take them back, we didn’t get to wet. After returning the scooters we went to lunch at Fishlips down of the waterfront. Food was good but the price wasn’t, I could have done Wendy’s and been fine. We got back to the motorhome and it was time to go watch the cruise ship leave the harbor.
The “Enchantment of the Seas” was the ship leaving, it is so big. Each of the cruise ships that leave have two sheriff boats and the US Navy boat escorting them out to sea. The Pilot boat was also following to bring the harbor pilot back. Not sure if this is a Homeland Security thing or what but they were there with lights going and all.
Chip and Candy headed out for the airport which is about 50 minutes from us to pick up the girls that will get in at 8:30 pm. We do have some fun things we will do tomorrow with all of us.
