|Today is Candy’s birthday, she officially is Medicare age now. The day it appears will be good, a little cool but the sky is clear with the sun out so we can have a great pig roast. The pig roast will start at 1:00 pm so the Chicago clan came to the house this morning for some family time. I needed to find out why the air compressor in the barn wasn’t working, got that fixed and now it just waiting time to go down to the park. Carolyn called and she is on her way to be here. Stephanie and Tammy couldn’t make it because of work but they are here in heart and soul.
Carolyn arrived with her family and we drove down to the park. It was a nice day, just a little cool because of the wind blowing. Had around 50 to 60 people attend, I didn’t know many but Bill Maxwell, one of Glen’s old friends, and Gary Hazelton were there. I have known them for several years but the other people were new to me. The food was very good and it was nice, all we had to do was show up, eat, and leave, someone else had to clean up.
The cake was good with the picture of Bud on the gator enjoying life.
We returned to the house so Dan could get rid of some old ammunition that I found in the barn. That could be dangerous if it got to warm, he will take care of it. They needed to get on the road for the 3 hour drive home.
The Chicago clan came over and everyone went over to the Paw Paw Grape Festival. They weren’t there long because it was very crowded. They returned and we sat around just talking about some of their old times.
