Copper Bullet

Float Coper

After a night and morning rain the day appears to becoming a nice day. This will be our last day here at the Gauthier Estate in the north country of Michigan. Our plans are to leave in the morning for our next destination of Iron Mountain Michigan. We will be spending the night at Summer Breeze Campground, which we stayed at in 2006 when the new owners of the campground had just purchased. They were a young couple that moved from North Carolina for their new adventure of owning a campground. It will be nice to see what improvements they have put in.

Today was a lay around day for most of us. The girls drove into Ontonagon because Candy wanted to get a sweat shirt she had seen earlier. It has Ontonagon Michigan on the front. The letters are made of copper plus she wanted to buy a one pound copper bar. Mark took his car for an oil change and found out he has a hole in the oil pan, not good news. When everyone got back Candy and I got the bugs off the windshield and cleaned some vent screens. Darcy got supper around, we were having Pasties that a lady down the road makes. Pasties originally a Cornish England food. They were used by the copper miners as food while they were working the mines. They could put them in their pockets and go down in the mines and have food with them. They were the best ones I have ever had, hopefully she can bring some down in September to the pig roast in Lawton for us. That was about it for the day.
